The people behind the care at Hackett Family Chiropractic.
Dr. Patrick Hackett was born and raised in Berrien Center, Michigan. After completing his education, he returned home to Southwest Michigan to build his practice because this community is where he belongs. He has been helping families in Stevensville, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, Berrien Center, and across Berrien County live without pain ever since. His approach is direct: figure out what is actually wrong, explain it clearly, and fix it with the most effective treatment available.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University and his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.
Dr. Hackett specializes in Diversified Technique, Flexion-Distraction therapy, and instrument-assisted soft tissue work. He is known for taking real time with patients. You will not feel rushed. He listens, assesses carefully, and adjusts your care plan as your body responds to treatment.
Dr. Megan Hackett brought warmth, depth, and a genuine love for her patients to everything she did. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies from Lake Erie College before pursuing her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago.
She developed a particular passion for nutritional therapy, botanical medicine, and nutraceutical therapies, weaving a whole-health perspective into her clinical approach that influenced how the entire practice thinks about patient care today.
Dr. Megan had a special focus on prenatal wellness and was known for making patients feel at ease from the very first visit. Her care, her curiosity, and her commitment to this community left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
Dr. Megan Hackett passed away on February 22, 2022, due to complications from COVID-19. She is deeply missed by her patients, her colleagues, and everyone whose life she touched. Her influence on this practice and on the community she served lives on.

We believe chiropractic care works best when it is personalized, thorough, and part of a bigger picture for your health.
Your first visit includes a thorough health history and physical examination. We want to understand exactly what is going on before we begin treatment.
We walk you through what we found, what it means, and what we recommend. No confusing jargon. No pressure. Just clear information and an honest recommendation.
Your treatment plan is not locked in on day one. We re-evaluate regularly and change course if something is not working the way we expected.
Your first appointment is a getting-to-know-you visit. Plan for about 45 to 60 minutes.
We review your symptoms, health background, and what brought you in. You can fill out paperwork in advance if you prefer.
We assess your posture, range of motion, and the areas you are concerned about. X-rays may be taken if clinically indicated.
Your doctor explains what they found and recommends a care plan. You ask questions. Nothing happens without your understanding and agreement.
In most cases, your first adjustment happens at this visit. Follow-up appointments are typically about 15 minutes.
